VEGYTERV was founded in 1950 in order to provide engineering services to the reconstruction and development of the Hungarian chemical industry.
At the beginning this development was isolated from the technology of the developed industrial countries, based on the engineering and designing work of VEGYTERV only.
Later the change of the circumstances enabled even to buy up-to-date technologies as well, make it possible to. Establish relationship and contact with many worldwide known engineering companies (e.g.  Norks-Hydro, Lurgi, Sumitomo, Linde,...).

VEGYTERV was growing together with the Hungarian chemical industry. Based on VEGYTERV's own designs as well as in cooperation with others, thousand of plants were built mainly in Hungary but many of them abroad. 

The actual company structure formed after the privatization, continuously. Adjusts to the market demand, works with an approved quality control system and designing tools, tries to follow the growing quality demands and the increasing customer’s expectations. VEGYTERV's strategic markets is the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, and any other industrial segments where it can be competitive.
